Frank Dor, MD PhD, is a Consultant Transplant Surgeon at the Hammersmith Hospital, Imperial College, London, UK.
Besides his work as an academic surgeon, he is responsible for the training of European transplant professionals as Chair Education Committee of the European Society for Organ Transplantation (ESOT), and an ESOT Council member. As Principal Investigator, he coordinates scientific research in London and Rotterdam.
Frank holds board memberships at the Dutch Transplant Society and the Transplant Surgery division of the European Union of Medical Specialists.
Ancillary positions of the recent past include: member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Nierstichting (Dutch Kidney Foundation); member of the Dutch Health Council; board member of the Rotterdam Academic Specialists Association; board member and Secretary General of the European Society of Surgical Research.
During his previous position as a Consultant Transplant Surgeon at the Erasmus MC, University Medical Center, Rotterdam, The Netherlands, he was also Project Lead of the organization-wide 'Patient Care Innovation' project.
Frank's board membership at the Jazz Harp Foundation is leading him back to his 'board-roots': as a student, his very first board membership was with the Rotterdam Youth Symphony Orchestra. He started his musical endeavors as a clarinet player and is nowadays a passionate amateur choir conductor and music lover.
